[U/C] Re: SkyCity Adelaide Casino Expansion | 55m | 12 Levels | Hotel

FFS what an awful mess those steps, landscaping and water feature are. The high quality finish of the casino is really showing this up now. Also the Intercontinental. How hard would it be to clad the concrete service shafts in copper or something similar! Agreed, but they would be fine if ACC/State...

[VIS] Re: New inner-city stadium

What shocks me about the render is it has Adelaide United v Adelaide City. Maybe an FFA Cup match  Future national league after Adelaide City gain promotion to the top flight? I'm a fan of this proposal - it's the most far-sighted of the inner-city stadium plans we've seen. Keeping this ...

It was the construction federation that claimed it would cost 11 billion to do tunnels. It wasnt "decision makers" ie government making that claim. If people want to preserve heritage buildings which line the northern parts of the remaining corridor theres no other option but tunnels. Theres a pric...

[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway

A position has been released on the 'I Work for SA' State Government job website for 'Director, Communications and Engagement' for the N-S Corridor. The North-South Corridor (NSC) Delivery Program is a multi-billion dollar project that will complete the final and most complex stages of a 78km free-f...

Re: [PRO] St Peters Cathedral [$100 million]

Not a cent of tax payers dollars should be spent on this, except for the tram extension. These religious groups have more money then people can dream of, they can afford to pay for it them selves. The Church of England aka Anglican Church has a net worth of $9 billion. Agree - sure, in the future w...

Here's one thing Melbourne are doing at this time.

If only the ACC had a similar vision.

If only the ACC had vision.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

This project seems to have gaps in certain areas with work more advanced in some areas. The entire line may have been separated into several work “zones” with separate teams and each team is working progressively within each section. Kind of like how the Northern Connector was one project split up ...

Yesterday afternoon there was a drilling rig set up in the wide median strip on the western side of South Rd at Hindmarsh (ie the bit separating South Road from the Brickworks shopping center). It could be there for core sampling etc.
I saw this too. A small truck with yellow rig.

Great pics, thank you!

It’s hardly a looker but it could be worse. Decent filler at best.
It doesn't look horrible in person, and is an appropriate scale for the area.

Or spend far less for necessary education - e.g. addressing the lack of light rail knowledge in SA.
