They definitely read Sensational Adelaide, one of the reporters once told me that they get quite a bit of information from here.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

The Mawson Lakes station carpark land would look good with some 6ish story apartment buildings overlooking a green square (theres some examples at Bowden). But whats going too happen to the carpark? Thats a lot of cars https://www.google.com/maps/@-34.8051667,138.6129698,3a,75y,64.09h,97.86t/data=!...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

It looks promising, but I've seen this type of survey before for the information screens at Adelaide Railway Station about 4, 5 years ago. Nothing came of that. Hopefully this time there will actually be some sort of implementation.

Re: News & Discussion: Other Transport Projects

They should combine this with a grade separation of the Grange railway line. No I know it doesn't get much traffic, but it brings a major road to a standstill at times. Not really. I've been down Port Road several times in peak hour and the train has never been an issue. If they duplicate this sect...

Re: News & Discussion: Public Transport Contracts, Service & Policy

The interpeak fare should be much lower than the peak to encourage a flatter peak. Australian cities have very narrow peak periods, much worse than cities in other countries. This is a problem because it makes it hard to organise shifts for transport workers and we need larger vehicles than with a ...

How frequent is the Flinders line going to run? I would think every 15min in peak if they want Uni students / medical workers to use it and the people from the 12 x G2X buses an hour. The single section of track is only 2.5km, it starts just north of Mitchell Park Station. Looking at old timetables...

Well, I hope you have made donations to InDaily or another news outlet in Adelaide, because if the Advertiser fails, InDaily doesn't have the reach to reasonably hold the government to account. If both fail, the government can do whatever it wants really. Not sure about that Norman , there are othe...

Didnt the government appoint some expert from Victoria to determine what was the best option and make recommendations? I assume she's being paid several hundred thousand at least. Why bother, just ask these self interest groups and individuals. The Sadvertiser will print anything these days, as lon...

North-South tunnels ‘to cost $11bn’ SEE THE VIDEO Tunnels along South Rd to finish the North-South Corridor would cost $11 billion, the construction industry says, and should be dumped. “This is Adelaide, not New York,” they say. If it is a full tunnel, I believe it will be the longest road tunnel in Australia at 11km. NorthConnex in Sydney is 9km and WestConnex has different tunnels between 7.5km and 9km.

NorthConnex cost $3b, but I guess it wouldn't be comparable to ours because of a different geology.

I always buy a 28-day pass, which is $50 for concession ($100 full fare). That works...

That feeds into my concern that it will appear overbearing on our prime boulevard. This should have stepped back as it rises. Cheap student accommodation..prime boulevard...the two don't really fit together. I wouldn't call it cheap... most of the richer international students stay in these places,...
