That would allow about 12 services each way each weekday to be reallocated to evening and weekend services? Added to the 44 new services this totals 104...

There are a total of 7 parcels on that site, and the hotel only covered half of the site. This could be the sale of either the hotel site or the remainder of the site. Who knows...

Well, well overdue. The interchange should be moved to the new Flinders Station anyway.

A double-decker cut & cover tunnel might work, but I expect will still require the removal of at least one side of houses & businesses along South Road. Any other cut & cover or trench model would likely involve at least both sides along South Road, and all the noise that would create among local r...

Well, if the applicant provided correct and consistent documents in the first place they wouldn't be in this mess!

Like most DPTI projects in SA, this one is going at snails pace. Quite possibly the most inefficient department there is. This project was never intended to start before next year. Design work is well advanced here, expect more news on this in the next few months. They should bring in the Melbourne...

Re: News & Discussion: Regional Transport

Governments and businesses work on a model of economic rationalism, not nationalism. If it is cheaper to send the product to Melbourne than Adelaide then that's how it's going to work. If it was cheaper to send it to Adelaide then I'm sure they would. However, the cost to fix up the track to Bordert...

Why don't the renders show the whole proposed 15l building? From the lower portion shown, it doesn't look too good anyway. Shame because it's such a prominent location, entry to the city. It's only a vision at this stage, it hasn't been lodged as a formal proposal yet. The designs will probably cha...

Finally! This site has been heavily underutilized for decades, so seeing both the restoration of the heritage buildings, opening up the site for the public and providing much needed activity in the area would be a fantastic result, should it go ahead of course.

Btw, developer has placed application on hold while the heritage council considers state rather than local protection for the Sands and McDougall building. Hopefully that means they're not challenging but intend to work with this rare Art Deco example. See article at InDaily : 'Another city heritag...
