My friend got a job at the Crown Hotel with training supposedly starting in March for an April opening. I think it'll be a good addition to the hotels in the CBD as well as people in and around hindmarsh square.

hehe, for about a week that eastern signage read "Crow Plaza". It was really getting to me aswell, being a Port supporter :lol: . I was thinking it surely cant take that long to put 2 extra letters on

wow guys, the street and landscaping of this part of the square is almost done, and looks fantastic. Theres a nice paved pedestrian only promenade in front of the new hotel, which has a few restuarants and cafes almost finished, that face onto the square. Most impressed. When we do get funding, the quality of our streetscaping such as North Tce and this is 2nd to none compared to other Australian cities. Now just one more area to do -that big square in the centre of the city

I swear that Arial shot looks exactly the same as the original render picture from way back in 2007! Its amazing what they can do with computers!

I think the render was of amazing quality from the get go.. they did an awesome job on the textures.

Yes, it does look true to depiction -- pleasant but not outstanding. The north-eastern perspective, however, is still unimpressive, but remarkably unpleasant, which I suppose is why we never saw it depicted. Just sayin'.
