Adelaide Oval Redevelopment
Written by Howie Thursday, 03 December 2009 08:09
The state government has announced a $450m plan to redevelop Adelaide Oval in order to bring AFL football to the city's center within five years. Included in this redevelopment is a new Torren river footbridge linking the greenspace in front of the Festival Theatre to the new Adelaide oval.
AdelaideNow reports "The $450 million budget will be financed through a $100 million contribution being sought from the Commonwealth, $200 million by deferring the proposed tramline to West Lakes for two years, and the $100 million already earmarked for redevelopment of AAMI Stadium."
