Just
a roundup of developments on the Sensational-Adelaide forums over
the last week. First up, as highlighted by the Adelaide
Advertiser newspaper, a $55m Office 19 storey building is in planning
for the current site of popular nightspot, The Planet.
Also the DA has been submitted for this project, so it could get the
green light soon. This render, is not of the proposed building, a
render has yet to come, it's just a render from one of the architect's
other projects. All the same thanks to S-A Member, Tayser,
for finding the render. Forum discussion on this project here.Next up, we have a rather futuristic render of the Conservatory on Hindmarsh. S-A Member Pants was responsible for finding this render. Also it appears as though the website for this project is under construction with the domain http://www.conservatoryonhindmarsh.com.au now taken. More discussion on this project here.

Stages 2 & 3 of the Port River Expressway

Another week is almost over, so let's finish it up with these sensational renders on the Transport SA website.
Big thank you to S-A member "AG" for this find.
This will be the look of the opening bridges on the Port River Expressway and part of the second and third stage of the $178m Port River Expressway project.
Abigroup Contractors Pty Ltd have been charged with the design, construction and maintenance of the bridges.

Commonwealth Law Courts Preview

We've gotta thank SSC member, "I Like To Dig" for these outstanding internal photographs of the nearly completed Commonwealth Law Courts. Well done mate and welcome to S-A.com!
The Commonwealth Law Courts in Victoria Square is a $92 million development. According to the media release, SA is the last state to have a purpose built Commonwealth Law Court facility. Minister for Finance and Administration, Dr Sharman Stone, is quoted in saying ".... the interiors of the building will deliberately use natural materials with a preference for local South Australian materials and finishes. Examples include the floor and wall stones (granite and sandstone) and the Red River Gum Timbers."
