Re: SA Economy

The ABS regional internal migration estimates released on Tuesday show Adelaide lost 320 people to other areas of South Australia but gained 380 people from interstate – the first net gain since the December, 2002 quarter. Perth (1600 people), Brisbane (3300) and Canberra (140) were the only other ...

Curious to know if the PANSOPS increase of 21.3m is a universal increase across all flight zones, or just to this particular zone? The Masonic Lodge proposal likely hasn't factored in the change to flight paths as a result of this development and thus could go up to 181m. Nobody seems to have answe...

Pretty stupid to think that because it's three quarters the height it should be three quarters the cost. How tall should the new RAH be then? Sent from my SM-A515F using Tapatalk For a rough ballpark comparison for two buildings where the floors are regular and repeat most elements it seems a lot l...

Obviously it's a few years now since Realm was announced, but wasn't that announced as a $100 million build? Doesn't seem terrible for a tower 3/4 of its height to have 3/4 of the cost if so. Final price for Realm was touching 150m Pretty stupid to think that because it's three quarters the height ...

Re: SA Lockdown 3.0

Hindsight showing this lockdown probably wasn't completely necessary - at least not in its entirety. Restrictions set for the week will continue to hamper hospitality and community sport, all of which has never been complicit in the spread. This is not a set of restrictions based on history or evid...

Probably closer to the mark Only an overseas consortium will build anything of AAA quality here Sent from my SM-A515F using Tapatalk I disagree. Realm turned out great, and that was an Australian investor. The same goes with the Central Market Arcade. Realm looks nice. But let's be honest, that's b...

That cost seems a little low, but there's no context for where the cost comes from and this is really just one tower that splits into two sections. Despite being "two towers" it seems like it would have a lower floor area than something like the new Sofitel.

Yeah the medical center seems like a better location for any classrooms related to nursing. Business/law/government also has the advantage that it would need facilities more similar to a standard office building than any other discipline, and having that college right next door to State Parliament i...

Flinders Uni employee here, who's scheduled to move to the city. :) Those who guessed a major expansion of the city presence are correct - the majority of one of the 6 colleges will be moving there. Not saying which one until it's publicly confirmed (I like my job). Hmm. There is: Business, Governm...

Re: SA Lockdown 3.0

It's interesting this time how different things feel to the first lockdown last year. Back then there was a novelty and that real sense, cliched as it is, of how unprecedented it all was. Now it's more just tedious, no sense of shock, and that feeling of "here we go again". What I will say...

Official height: 107.6m / 30lvls for both towers.
Good height for a corner of the CBD, they're gonna look massive driving up past the old Adelaide Gaol.

Was already the case, but the Pyramid skyline is well and truly dead and buried.

Playford Council stretches as far east as One Tree Hill, do you think that they would ever use the Gawler Line? Yup. Have known multiple people who lived in One Tree Hill and used the Gawler train line to get in and out of Adelaide. Buckland Park is also in Playford, so by that argument, we can sto...

What is the business case for spending 10 billion on the remaining stretch of road, other than saving users 10 minutes of travel time, what are the other benefits? Was there a business case ever presented? I can't seem to find one. Some sources point to a business case mid this year . The more I co...
